Former Lutece Protege is New Executive Chef at New York's Patroon
Ken Aretsky's Acclaimed Midtown Spot Taps NYC Culinary Vet Bill Peet

New York, January 19 - Patroon, Ken Aretsky's acclaimed 10 year-old restaurant with the "classic New York City" dining experience, has a new Executive Chef in the person of Bill Peet. Located at 160 E.46th Street in midtown, Patroon enters its second decade with the dynamic cuisine of a sophisticated and accomplished New York City culinary veteran.

Following graduation from the Culinary Institute of America, Peet began a 15-year association with the celebrated 4-Star French restaurant Lutece, working as Sous Chef for 12 of those years under the careful guidance of the legendary Andre Soltner. More recently Peet was involved in the opening of "Pair of 8's," a critically acclaimed neighborhood restaurant on the Upper West Side of which he was chef and owner.

"We're really thrilled to have Bill Peet working with us here at Patroon," remarked Mr. Aretsky. "His food is extraordinary and will be a huge part of continuing the great dining tradition we have had for ten years at this establishment."

Peet's career has led him to a variety of prestigious posts including stints as Executive Chef at Café des Artistes, Asia de Cuba and "44" at the Royalton Hotel. As Corporate Executive Chef for Ark Restaurants, Peet was charged with overseeing food and restaurant operations for 26 different restaurants, bakeries and nightclubs across the country.

In celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Patroon is gearing up for many more years of providing a classic New York dining experience and a place for luxurious private affairs, all under the watchful eye of Ken Aretsky, one of the few remaining icons of the New York City restaurant scene.
